Volunteering with AARP AARP is a national, nonprofit organization for persons 50 years of age and older. Go to their home page and link to the "Community Service Programs" section for a list of volunteer opportunities in your local area. There is also a link to the "Volunteer Match" section that will help you find the volunteer opportunities that are right for you.
USA Freedom Corps This site has useful tips for finding the volunteer opportunity that is right for you. Select an area of interest and enter your zip code or state for a list of service opportunities in your area.
Corporation for National Service Programs The Corporation for National Service (CNS) is part of the USA Freedom Corps. CNS has three programs that provide community service opportunities. These programs are Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and Learn and Serve America. This site also has additional information on a variety of topics related to community service.
