Domestic Fliers Will Need Real ID Compliant Identification in 2025
Seniors planning to travel should check with TSA to insure they have acceptable identification documents before arriving at the airport. A current driver's license, state ID, U.S. passport or permanent resident card are a few of the acceptable documents. A list in total can be found on the internet at: TSA.gov/travel/security-screening/identification
Beginning May 7, 2025 a state issued ID or driver's license used for flying needs to be REAL ID COMPLIANT.
Contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles to see if your ID is Real Compliant.
