Services: Legal representation: provides Medicare advocacy. Provides legal representation for income eligible. Depending on situation, will also advise those that are facing foreclosure of a house, losing a public benefit (welfare, food stamps), or if a senior (60+). DOES NOT handle immigration issues, prisoner rights issues, and lawsuits for money (ie worker's compensation, personal injury). Recorded messages: information in legal areas of divorce, domestic abuse, bankruptcy & debt collection, and evictions. Senior Legal Hotline: assists 60+, regardless of income, on receiving legal information. Hours: walk-in, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 11:30am, 1 pm - 3:30 pm. Or call for appointment. Target group: general public. Eligibility: low income (household income less than 125% of federal poverty guidelines); no conflict of interest (will not assist those that want to bring cases upon clients whom the agency have current or past cases).
