Adult Day Health by Hale Makua is certified and licensed by the Hawaii Department of Health to provide care that includes a social worker, dietitian, nurse, and if needed, a physical therapist. Adult day health must be prescribed by a physician and is intended for individuals who need assistance with activities of daily living. Their goal is to maintain or restore to the fullest extent possible a client's ability to remain in their home and community for as long as physically possible. The program also provides respite to caregivers who need relief from the demanding responsibilities of caregiving.
