Description:
Provides a senior day care program for disabled and frail elderly, or homebound elderly, to preserve long term physical and mental health. Lunch/snacks provided. Services area: Leeward, Central, North Shore Oahu. Target group: adults with mental and/or physical impairments. Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 5:30 pm. Saturday 8am - 4pm Located at Wahiawa United Methodist Church. Eligibility: adults who are physically and/or mentally impaired. Application process: phone interview; written application; in-person screening interview. Admission requirements: individuals must be 1) semi ambulatory, 2) free of communicable diseases, 3) in need of assistance due to a handicap, 4) continent, 5) not verbally abusive or physically combatant. Urinary incontinence accepted if regular toileting intervals will aid control. Subsidies may be available to those eligible. Languages: English, Ilocano, Japanese, Samoan, Tagalog, Visayan.
