What changes occur with Alzheimer's and the ability to understand and express language? How is
communication affected by dementia?  Jen will help to unravel how speech, language and
communication are impacted by Alzheimer's and provide practical tips on how to best
communicate with someone with Alzheimer's throughout the stages of the disease. Jen Kessel is
a speech and language pathologist currently working with the Hawaii Department of Education.
