Getting a Good Night's Sleep

See Tips Below

Event Date: 3/29/2024

Sleep Deprivation has been linked to stroke, obesity, depression, and heart and kidney disease.  Sleep is as important to you as proper nutrition and exercise.

These tips may assist you in getting a better night's sleep.

  • Keep a steady sleep schedule.  This helps to support your body's natural sleep rhythms.
  • Make sure you have the right mattress with it in the best sleep position for you.
  • Avoid heavy meals right before bedtime.
  • Keep napping during the day to a minimum.
  • Wind down before going to bed.  Create a quiet and calm atmosphere for yourself.
  • Avoid screens right before bed.  The blue light from electronics can disrupt the body's circadian rhythms.
