LECTURE SERIES ON ALZHEIMER’S

Navigating the journey of caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or related dementias
can be challenging, especially when considering the addition of external support to
your care team. This program aims to explore essential services that may become
vital as your loved one advances through the various stages of the disease.
Participants will gain insights into adult day programs, memory care facilities, and
hospice care, offering valuable information for better-informed caregiving decisions.

Speakers are from Kauai Hospice, Regency at Puakea Memory Care Center, and Kauai Adult Day Health.

This series is partially funded by the OAA National
Family Caregiver Support Program and will bring local
professionals together to educate the community on
dementia related issues to help in the diagnosis of, and
treatment and care for, individuals with dementia.

The "Listen & Learn Lecture Series on Alzheimer's" is a monthly educational series featuring a dementia related topic sponsored by the
Alzheimer's Association - Hawai’i Chapter and the Lihue Public Library, in conjunction with the Kauai Agency on Elderly Affairs.
